For those of our clients who would prefer to host Work &
Progress applications on their own private networks, we now offer a solution that allows you
to run any Work & Progress application off of a specialized Work & Progress Application Server
(WPAS).
The WPAS comes complete with the right hardware to meet our requirements - a
1.2 GHz Processor and 512 MB RAM at minimum to keep your application running
quickly. Add to that a 20GB hard drive for storage, a CD Recorder for backing
up your data, and all the necessary video and network components necessary to
plug into your network.
The WPAS also includes Windows 2000 Pro as an operating system, the SQL Server
2000 engine to store your data, and Macromedia's Cold Fusion MX Professional
rounds out the included software, acting as your Web Server.
The WPAS comes fully configured, with all the required Software Licenses -
ready to plug into your network. It can be configured to connect to the Internet,
or stay off the Internet for added security. It's up to you.
Minimum/Recommended Requirements In order to assist in making a decision if self-hosting is the right
solution for your organization we provide the minimum requirements for
self-hosting a WPAS server. If you wish to purchase your own hardware/software
to host Work & Progress, we ask that you consider the impact that your hardware w
ill have on the performance of the application.

Application Maintenance From time to time, members of our network support team will need to gain
access to the WPAS on site at your facility to upgrade the backend, logic
layer, or front end. This can be attained either through physical access to the
server or via a remote session. If you need more information to help you determine
what solution is best for your company, we will be happy to help you make that
decision. Each member of our network support team is fully bonded to any Non
Disclosure agreements we sign with your company.
